Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Sergiy has been serving in the 130th Battalion of the 241st Brigade, Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought as an infantryman during the liberation of the Kharkiv region, later served in the battalion's mortar battery and aerial reconnaissance. He is now part of the special reconnaissance unit RUBpAK “Vyrij” of the 241st Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces.
